On Monday, January 21st, we returned with a massive lineup to bring us nicely into the new year and set the tone for 2019.
It was our pleasure to present Colin Perkins and Brién who joined us in Dolan's for their Limerick Debuts.
Colin Perkins is an electronic producer and Dj from Dublin, Ireland. He has the ability to move a room and his style has developed over many years through numerous residencies and marathon sets, you never quite know what you’re going to get. His weekly residency at Pyg Sundays has become an institution, bringing an array of guests to Dublin as diverse and interesting as his selections.
The past year saw Colin play further afield with dates in London, Vienna, Lisbon, Madrid, Basel, Paris, and Berlin alongside festival slots at Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit and Love International Festival 2018.
Brién is the alias of Peter Brien, a multi-instrumentalist, DJ & producer from Belfast. His sound can’t be placed in one box due to his wide range of influences, yet a strong sonic identity shines through his music, with genre-bending tracks spanning from Hip-hop, Jazz & Neo-soul to Broken-beat, House and Lo-fi.
Since his debut EP in 2016 on Belfast label ‘Extended Play’, Brién has released records on a handful of exciting new labels such as Soft Boy Records & Pear as well as performing in some of Irelands’ most reputable venues and festivals, such as Shine, AVA Festival, Dublin's’ Tengu, Twitch & more.
Brién has been gaining recognition and support from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Bradley Zero, Laurent Garnier, Bicep, Moxie, Groove Armada & more. We welcomed the Belfast beat maker to Limerick on the 21st of January for an exclusive dj set
